- are non-refundable. After activating a prepaid code on an account, you can watch DAZN STANDARD until the prepaid period has expired.
WARNING: If you decide to activate a DAZN PLUS subscription despite the fact that a DAZN STANDARD prepaid subscription is still active, you will lose the remaining prepaid period of your existing DAZN STANDARD subscription.
What subscription plan do I have access to via a DAZN prepaid card or code?
DAZN prepaid cards and codes provide access to the DAZN STANDARD.
Where can I get a DAZN prepaid card or code?
You can currently obtain a DAZN prepaid card or code in one of the ways listed below:
- Digital prepaid cards: on dazn.com/prepaid, Startselect, Amazon, Euronics and Gamestop.
- Prepaid Cards: on sale at authorised retailers including Mediaworld, Unieuro, Euronics, Expert, Trony, Comet, Esselunga, Carrefour, Coop, Bennet, Penny Market and Gamestop. Click here to find your nearest shop.
- Prepaid Codes: can be purchased at Mooney and PuntoLis shops, or as part of a corporate welfare programme.
- Special codes: occasionally you may find DAZN prepaid codes in addition to a product offered by a partner or as a prize in a competition.
How do I redeem a DAZN prepaid code?
To activate a DAZN prepaid code follow these instructions:
1. Go to www.dazn.com/redeem
2. Enter the prepaid code you find on the receipt (if you bought in a physical shop) or in the purchase email (if you bought online) in the space provided and confirm.
3. Once you have entered the code correctly follow the on-screen procedure to create a new account or access an existing one.
Depending on the prepaid code used, you may be asked to enter an additional payment method.
If you purchased your DAZN prepaid card or code online or in shop, entering an additional payment method is always optional. If you do not enter an additional payment method (such as credit/debit card or PayPal) on your account, your DAZN STANDARD subscription will expire at the end of the prepaid period.
If you decide to enter an additional payment method on your account, at the end of the prepaid period your subscription to DAZN STANDARD will be renewed at the price according to the current economic conditions available at this link. You can cancel it with 30 days notice from ‘My Account’.
N.B.: There are cases in which the code can only be used by certain types of customers. For example, some codes can only be used by new customers. Always read the information on the prepaid code to know the applicable conditions.
If in doubt, contact Customer Service by sending a photo of your prepaid code.
Can I use a prepaid card or code if I already have an ongoing DAZN subscription?
If you have a current DAZN STANDARD or DAZN PLUS subscription, you can apply the prepaid card or code now. Your prepaid period will start at the end of your current billing cycle. To find out what type of subscription you have go to ‘My Account’.
Any switch to a higher value plan is immediate and replaces the previously active plan.
If you fall into the latter case, contact Customer Support to normalise your current subscription plan before activating your DAZN card or prepaid code.
For example:
- if you have a subscription to DAZN START and you activate a DAZN STANDARD card or prepaid code, the prepaid subscription will start immediately on the STANDARD plan, replacing the current subscription, and its duration will correspond to the months of the inserted card or prepaid code.
Otherwise, you have two options:
1. Make the switch to DAZN STANDARD by credit/debit card or PayPal via the procedure in the ‘My Account’ area. In this case you will pay a first subscription instalment at the current economic conditions, discounted by the remaining credit on your previously active DAZN START subscription. At this point, you can enter your DAZN STANDARD card or prepaid code and your prepaid period will begin at the end of the current billing cycle.
2. Cancel your current subscription (active via credit/debit card or PayPal) and wait for your account to be closed with the corresponding email confirmation. The subscription can then be reactivated using the card or prepaid code.
Can I use a prepaid card or code if I have a subscription billed through a third party (Google, Apple iTunes, Amazon In App Payment or a partner)?
Prepaid cards and codes can only be used on accounts with direct payment to DAZN.
- If you are paying through a third party (Apple iTunes, Amazon In App Payment, Google):
to apply a DAZN prepaid code, you will need to cancel your current subscription, wait for the account to close with the corresponding email confirmation, also from DAZN, and reactivate your subscription using the prepaid code. - If you have a package that includes DAZN, billed by a third party:
you can keep the prepaid code and use it when the account is no longer linked to a third-party package or apply it to another DAZN account.
Can I cancel my account while using a prepaid card or code?
Once a prepaid code has been activated, your access to DAZN STANDARD will be guaranteed until the prepaid period ends.
What happens to my account when my DAZN prepaid card or code expires?
- If you have not entered an additional payment method (credit/debit card or PayPal) on your account, your subscription to DAZN STANDARD will expire at the end of the prepaid period.
- If you have entered an additional payment method on your account, at the end of the prepaid period your subscription to DAZN STANDARD will automatically renew at the current economic conditions available at this link. You will be able to cancel it with 30 days notice from "My Account".
Can I change my payment method while using DAZN prepaid card or code?
You can change your payment method by going to the "My Account" section.
- If you select the START or STANDARD plan the new payment method you enter will activate when the current prepaid period expires .
- If you select the PLUS plan the new DAZN PLUS subscription will be activated immediately and will automatically renew at the current economic conditions that can be viewed at this link.
ATTENTION: If you decide to activate a DAZN PLUS subscription despite still having an active DAZN STANDARD prepaid subscription, you will lose the remaining prepaid period of the existing DAZN STANDARD subscription.
Can I change subscription plans if I am paying by DAZN prepaid card or code?
The prepaid code gives you access to the DAZN STANDARD plan until the prepaid period expires. If you have not entered an additional payment method on your account, your DAZN STANDARD subscription will expire at the end of the prepaid period. You will then be able to reactivate a subscription by choosing your preferred plan in the "My Account" area.
ATTENTION: If you decide to activate a DAZN PLUS subscription despite still having an active DAZN STANDARD prepaid subscription, you will lose the remaining prepaid period of the existing DAZN STANDARD subscription.
Can't redeem your DAZN prepaid code?
If you are unable to redeem your DAZN prepaid code you may find yourself in one of these situations:
The prepaid code has not been entered correctly:
Check that you have entered the prepaid code correctly and try typing it again.
Be careful:
- If you have purchased a DAZN prepaid card or code, your code will be 15 characters long
- All DAZN codes are case sensitive
Do not confuse:
- A capital "o" (O) and the number zero (0)
- A lowercase "L" (l), an uppercase "i" (I) and the number one (1)
Your profile may not have the correct characteristics to use the code:
- Check that your account is not linked to a payment through a third party (Apple iTunes, Amazon In App Payment, Google) and that your subscription is not part of a third party billed plan. - Check that the code is not dedicated exclusively to certain categories of customers on the terms and conditions received with the code. For example, some codes can only be used by new customers.
- The prepaid code could be expired
- The error message you are receiving may mean that the 12 months have elapsed after which it is no longer possible to redeem the code.
- Check the expiration date of your code on the receipt or contact Customer Service.
- Check the terms and conditions of the DAZN prepaid codes.
- The prepaid code could have been purchased or issued in a country that is different to the one in which you are trying to activate it.
If you do not fall into any of the above categories and have entered the code correctly but continue to see an error message, contact Customer Support.
General Terms and Conditions for Prepaid Cards and Prepaid Codes
Effective from 1 August 2024.
1. WHO WE ARE
We are a subscription service offering subscribers streaming access to a wide range of sporting events from around the world on a variety of internet-enabled devices, including TVs, PCs and other platforms (‘DAZN Service’). To enhance your enjoyment of the DAZN Service you will also be provided with suggestions of events in which you may be interested and other interesting sports information.
The DAZN Service is provided by DAZN Limited (‘DAZN’).
2. PREPAID CARDS AND PREPAID CODES
1. Prepaid cards (‘Cards’ or, individually, ‘Card’) and prepaid codes (‘Codes’ or, individually, ‘Code’) are issued by DAZN and are available for purchase at authorised third party outlets or in other ways communicated for this purpose.
2. The Card and/or the Code may be activated within twelve months of the relative date of purchase, may be used only once and permit, subject to the provisions of paragraph 3 below, the use of the DAZN Service at the economic conditions and for the duration envisaged for the Card and/or the Code purchased. Codes with a duration of less than one month may only be activated one at a time.
3. In order to use the Cards and/or Codes the purchaser (‘User’) shall
a) create a new DAZN account - if he/she is of age and subject to acceptance of the conditions of use of the DAZN service (‘Conditions of Use’) as well as having previously viewed and accepted the privacy policy at www.dazn.com - or already have an account with direct payment to DAZN. For use of Cards and/or Codes lasting less than one month only, the existing account with direct payment to DAZN shall be without an active subscription at the time of activation of the Cards and/or Codes.
b) have a device enabled to use the DAZN Service and an internet connectivity service, in accordance with the minimum connection requirements and enabled devices indicated on www.dazn.com or in the Conditions of Use.
4. Cards and/or Codes are non-refundable and can only be used within the Italian national territory.
3. TERMINATION AND RENEWAL
3.1. Following the activation of the Card and/or a Code, the use of the DAZN Service - with maintenance of the relative account - shall be guaranteed to the User until the expiry date of the Code, subject to the provisions of Article 3.2 b) below.
3.2. If during activation or during the period of validity of a Card and/or Code, in the manner provided for in Article 3 above
a) the User has not inserted a method of payment among those proposed, the use of the DAZN Service shall terminate on expiry of the period of validity provided for the same Card and/or the same Code;
b) the User has inserted a method of payment among those proposed, the use of the DAZN Service chosen will be renewed at the ordinary cost (monthly or annual) of the same DAZN Service, which will be charged automatically upon expiry of the Card and/or the Code and subsequently according to the renewal terms and methods of payment from time to time provided for the chosen Service using the payment details provided by the User. The User may request the deactivation of such automatic renewal at any time, in accordance with the contractual conditions set out in the chosen DAZN Service and the Service Charter, by means of one of the following methods:
1. by logging in to the ‘My Account’ page at the LINK (URL: https://www.dazn.com/it-IT/myaccount/subscription) and clicking on the ‘cancel subscription’ button;
2. by contacting Customer Service at the LINK (URL: https://help.dazn.com/hc/it-it);
3. by sending a clear communication to this effect by Pec to dazncs@legalmail.it.
4. LOSS, DESTRUCTION OR ILLEGIBILITY OF CODES
4.1. The risk of accidental loss, destruction or illegibility of the Card and/or Code is transferred to the User at the time of purchase. The User remains solely responsible for the safekeeping and use of the Card and/or Code and for any proper and/or improper use that may be made of them.
4.2. DAZN shall not be liable in the event of theft, loss or unauthorised use of the Card or Code.
5. PERMITTED USE
The Card and/or the Code may only be used for lawful purposes. The User therefore undertakes not to use them in any way that violates any applicable local, national or international law or regulation and/or in any way that is illegal or fraudulent or has an illegal or fraudulent purpose or effect. The card and/or code may not be transferred for monetary and/or other consideration.
6. VARIATION
Any changes to these Conditions will be notified to you by email to the most recent address held by DAZN. Any changes to the payment terms will also be notified to the User in the same manner. Such notice will clearly state the changes in question and the reason for them as well as the term of sixty (60) days from the notice within which the User may withdraw from his contract if he does not wish to accept the contractual changes proposed to him. In the absence of such notice of withdrawal within the aforementioned period, the contractual changes shall be deemed accepted. Notwithstanding the foregoing, changes made in order to comply with the law, including in the case of changes in legislation, may have immediate effect.
7. JURISDICTION AND APPLICABLE LAW
7.1. These Conditions are governed by Italian law, including consumer protection laws.
7.2. For any dispute relating to these Conditions, the Court of Milan shall have exclusive jurisdiction, with the exception of disputes with consumers for which, pursuant to Article 66-bis of the Consumer Code, the Court of the place of residence or domicile of the consumer shall have jurisdiction.
