Definitions:
Promoter: DAZN Limited (09676399) with its registered address at 12 Hammersmith Grove, London, England, W6 7AP (“DAZN”)
Overview:
The Catterall vs Barboza Jr competition will take place between the 12 February 2025 and the 14 February 2025. The Winner must confirm acceptance of the Prize within twelve hours of notification from the Promoter, as set out below.
These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern the Catterall vs Barboza Jr competition (the “Competition”).
The Promoter is running the Competition pursuant to these Terms.
Entrant Eligibility:
- The Competition is free to enter and no payment is necessary by an Entrant (as defined below).
- The Competition is open to persons that complete the steps described at @DAZNBOXING on Instagram and X (the “Entry Method”) during the Competition Entry Period (as defined below), who meet the Minimum Age Requirement (as defined below) and who are residents of the UK except employees, agents, contractors or consultants of the Promoter and their immediate families, or the Promoter's associated companies and anyone else professionally connected with the Competition (“Entrants”).
- Entrants must be eighteen (18) years or older on the Opening Date (defined below), (“Minimum Age Requirement”).
- Entrants may be required to provide documentary proof of their eligibility (including their age and place of residence) to enter the Competition. If an Entrant is unable to provide this proof when requested, the Promoter may disqualify that Entrant from the Competition.
- The Promoter reserves the right at any time and its sole discretion to disqualify any entrant who conspires with others to gain an unfair advantage or who the Promotor has reason to believe is otherwise involved in manipulating, interfering or tampering with the entry process or any other element of the Competition or who the Promoter reasonably believes to have acted in breach of these terms and conditions.
- By entering the Competition, Entrants accept and will be bound by these Terms.
How to enter:
- The Competition opens for entries on 12 February 2025 (“Opening Date”) and last entries must be before 12:59 on 14 February 2025 (“Closing Date”). The period from the Opening Date to the Closing Date (both dates inclusive) shall be referred to as the “Competition Entry Period”.
- Follow and complete the Entry Method, during the Competition Entry Period.
- Entrants must enter the Competition in this manner by the Closing Date and time specified.
- Following the end of the Competition Entry Period, the Promoter shall select at random one Entrant (the “Winner”).
- It is the Entrant’s responsibility to inform the Promoter of any changes to their contact details, including their residential address, e-mail address or daytime telephone number.
Winner Notification
- Following the Closing Date, the Winner shall be notified via the social media account that the Winner completed the Entry Method on, by 23:59 on 14 February 2025.
- The award of the prize is subject to the Winner confirming acceptance of the prize within twelve hours of notification by replying to the Promoter when contacted on the social media account that the Winner completed the Entry Method on. In the event that the Winner does not meet this requirement by failing to reply to the Promoter when contacted on the social media account that the Winner completed the Entry Method on within twelve hours of notification, or does not accept any part of these terms and conditions (or any additional terms and conditions stipulated by any third-party relevant to the Prize (as defined below)), then they will forfeit the Prize and the Promoter may re-run the method of selection to select a replacement Winner.
Prize
- In the event that the invitation is accepted, the Winner will receive the following from the Promoter (collectively the “Prize”):
- Five tickets to the Catterall vs Barboza Jr event.
- The Promoter will not be responsible for ensuring the Winner or the Winner’s guest’s ability to travel to the event nor for any additional costs incurred should the Winner or the Winner’s guest be refused entry.
- Unless otherwise stated:
- the Prize consists of five tickets to the Catterall vs Barboza Jr event only;
- all spending money and other expenses, including all costs incurred by the Winner and their guests in travelling to the event, are costs for the Winner (and Winner’s guests) and are not provided as part of the Prize; and
- the Prize does not include travel to the event or accommodation which must be organised and paid by the Winner and the Winner’s guests.
- The Prize is not transferable or exchangeable. The Prize is not redeemable or exchangeable for cash and can only be taken as offered.
- The Winner acknowledges that the Promoter is not liable or responsible if any part of the event is cancelled, varied or rescheduled for any reason. If this means that the Winner and/or the Winner’s guest cannot attend the relevant event, the Promoter shall be under no obligation to provide any cash or alternative tickets.
Privacy
- The Winner agrees to take part in any reasonable publicity required by the Promoter. To opt-out of such publicity, the Winner should notify the Promoter by contacting the Promoter.
- Personal information which Entrants provide to the Promoter at the point of entry will be held and used by the Promoter and its group companies to administer the Competition in accordance with the Promoter 's Privacy Policy. (https://www.dazn.com/help/articles/privacy-global) and as otherwise expressly agreed by an Entrant. The Promoter is solely and wholly responsible for any personal information they may collect or process for their purposes. If the Winner has questions about how the Promoter handle personal information or to exercise any rights, please visit the Promoter’s privacy policy for contact information. If an Entrant opts-out of any of the personal information processing described in this section, they will not be able to collect a Gift or the prize.
Commercial Rights
- All commercial rights (including without limitation any and all marketing and media rights) relating to the Competition belong to the Promoter and their licensors.
- Entrants shall not associate themselves with the Competition or the Promoter in any commercial manner, nor use any intellectual property rights of those parties, nor shall they permit any third parties to do so, without the prior written consent of the applicable rights holders, which consent may be granted or withheld in each of their sole discretion. Any Entrant wishing to carry out or facilitate any promotional or marketing activities with respect to the Competition, will need prior written consent from the Promoter or from the respective rights holders, which may be granted or withheld in each of their sole discretion.
Cancellation
- The Promoter reserves the right to cancel the Competition, in its entirety or in part, or amend these Terms at any stage if deemed necessary in its opinion or if circumstances arise outside its control.
Ineligibility
- If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Terms or incorrect, illegible, fraudulent or other invalid or improper information has been provided, the Promoter may in its sole discretion refuse to process an entry or, if applicable, fulfil any prize awarded. If an Entrant fails to comply with these Terms, they will be excluded from the Competition and their entry will be declared void.
Limitation of Liability
- To the extent allowed by applicable law, the Promoter does not accept any responsibility for any entry, or any other correspondence related to the Competition, being lost or not being properly registered whatsoever as a result of any network, computer hardware or software failure of any kind. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt. No applications from agents, third parties, organized groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted.
- To the extent allowed by applicable law, the Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury which an Entrant suffers as a direct or indirect result of the Competition. However, the Promoter makes no attempt to exclude or limit its liability for death or personal injury caused as a result of its negligence.
- All conditions, warranties and representations expressed or implied by law or otherwise in relation to the Competition are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- Where the Competition is hosted by a social networking site, the Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with that social networking site.
Governing Law, Dispute Resolution and Jurisdiction
- To the extent allowed by applicable law, these Terms and any disputes that occur will be dealt with in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
